Photobucket Direct Links
« on: Sat Jul 15 2017 04 24 PM »
Photobucket has recently changed their direct linking policy. All the photo links that were previously allowed by Photobucket now require a $399.00 per year Photobucket subscription. This change was unexpected and I see it as a form of extortion. I don't recommend that anyone pay for the subscription. If you'd like to transfer the photos to an alternate hosting site and edit your links, that's the only viable solution I can think of. Otherwise, linked Photobucket photos will no longer appear here.

Here are a couple articles that reference Photobucket's new policy.

Had I ever imagined that Photobucket would change their policy, I would have recommended using a different hosting site. I feel terrible that we've lost access to all of these images and apologize for the inconvenience.

I dream of a better tommorow, where chickens can cross the road and not have their motives questioned.

I just got an email from them a few days ago, and it went to my junk mail, so I almost missed it. That's really unfortunate, as I think the direct linking was the only reason most people I know ever used Photobucket in the first place. I started using PB way back in around 2003, when I first discovered forums for women riders.
